September 19, 2019, Fremont, CA. Loadstar Sensors announces the immediate availability of its StockVUE Mobile solution. StockVUE provides an IoT solution for autonomous, real-time inventory management using digital weight scales. This solution can be used alongside or in place of RFID and bar code readers to help distributors, manufacturers, and retailers lower their costs and improve customer satisfaction.

StockVUE uses digital smart scales to weigh contents placed in bins, containers and shelves. These high accuracy smart scales are connected to sensor routers that are connected wirelessly and upload data to a server in the cloud. This data is then processed to compute real-time item counts . This data can then be accessed using a PC, Tablet or Phone to receive updates and alerts about low inventory or sudden changes in inventory. Until now, StockVUE has been deployed on stationary racks and shelves of all sizes and types (wire mesh, steel, wooden pallets etc.). Now, StockVUE is available in a mobile version that enables you to track inventory placed on movable carts that can be moved from one location to another.

In an aerospace factory, technicians working on aircraft assembly or repair tasks need to bring needed components from one aircraft to another. As the items are used, they need to be replenished periodically so the technician can continue their task uninterrupted. Using StockVUE Mobile, the supply chain manager can remotely track inventory of smallest, light-weight parts to large, heavy-weight items and replenish them just-in-time before they run out on the technicians mobile cart.
 
Nurses tending to their patients, need to bring a cart filled with medical supplies to patient rooms. Currently, the medical staff has to keep track of these supplies manually and replenish them. Using Mobile StockVUE, health care providers such as hospitals, nursing homes and surgery centers can track inventory as it is being moved around and replenish life-saving supplies before they run critically low.
 
Contract manufacturers have flexible manufacturing cells which they configure as needed to make a diverse range of products. Inventory could be stored in remote warehouses, in store rooms on site and at points of use (POU). Inventory of parts needed for each product needs to be tracked from warehouses to points of use in order to ensure a smooth supply during assembly. Shortages or stock-outs can bring entire assembly lines to a halt. StockVUE mobile allows manufacturers to track exactly how many of each item is stored on mobile carts that are deployed around a factory floor and replenish the right amount just in time on a as needed basis.
